Life Drawing
Examples of what we covered in class on Friday
1. Blind Contour Drawing
Drawing an object or person without looking at your paper, without taking your pencil off your paper. Adding line variation to show what shadows are darker and lighter, by pushing hard or light in whichever area suits. Of course without looking as well.
2. Gesture Drawing
Radical movements of your arm. Moving freely with your utensil you are drawing with. Drawing the basic shape with circles and then adding detail. Always keep free movements.
3. Modelled Drawing
Keeping your crayon moving constantly. Starting from the centre and moving out, pushing harder and lighter in areas to shape the contour of the object/person.
